Dennis Hastert was born in Aurora, IL and grew up in Oswego. After he graduated from Wheaton College, he moved to Yorkville. Living in Yorkville Hastert taught Government at Yorkville High School for 16 years. He also coached wrestling and for a little while he coached football. He led the Yorkville wrestling team to a state title in 1976. He was the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives from 1999 to 2007. |
